We are a USDA licensed breeder of African Pygmy Hedgehogs located in Racine, Wisconsin.
We would like to thank the Cosley Zoo in Wheaton, IL for acquiring several of our quality Hedgehogs for their Educational & Breeding program and the St. Louis Zoo for acquiring several of our quality Hedgehogs for their Children's Educational and Breeding programs.
We are also very proud to have been a part of getting in the first Hedgehogs to be imported from the Czech Republic into the USA on September 3rd, 2013 this was the first Hedgehogs to be imported in this big of a quantity in 23 years.
We have been raising animals for over 22 years, and we have the utmost love and respect for our pet parents and babies, and provide them the best care and attention they deserve, after all we are their parents and grandparents :)
We breed for intelligence, health and temperament above all else, which results in a wonderful companion for all to enjoy. Our hedgies are raised in spacious cages, with an exercise/enrichment plan and are handled and played with daily. Acquiring any animal should never be an impulse decision, and research and interaction should be done to make sure the animal will be a good fit.
Hedgehogs require time and patience in order to keep them friendly and interactive. We handle all babies on a daily basis, and a potential owner can expect to allot at least 30-40 minutes per day for bonding time and allowing of monitored free range roaming time outside of the cage as well.
